On Saturday, the Croton-on-Hudson Fire Department’s volunteers participated in the Westchester County Volunteer Firemen’s Association Convention Parade held in Ossining.
Dozens of Fire, EMS and other units participated in this event, and we came home with two awards - Best Appearing Ladder or Aerial for Tower Ladder 44 and 2nd Best Rescue for Rescue 18. YOU CAN SEE SOME PHOTOS HERE AND HERE AND HERE.
During the span of the day, our members also answered four alarms including a boat in distress, two Commercial and one Residential Fire Alarm.
Congratulations to our Ladder & Rescue Companies on their awards, and many thanks to all of our members that helped prepare these apparatus - as well as Engine 120 & Tanker 10 that also attended - and to those personnel that handled the responses all day.
