First up, an oldie but goodie, a beautiful old ad from 1915 for JAP ROSE SOAP.

It's followed by a wonderful old toy featured in a 2013 auction at Croton's own SeriousToyz.com - the “Shootin’ Shell Buckle Gun Western Belt Set” #632, 1958, by Mattel; if you are easily triggered by seeing guns, toy or otherwise, go no further.... box is 10”; contains Remington Derringer cap gun mounted on buckle, & embossed leather belt; the ‘no hands’ gun shoots a plastic bullet automatically when you push out w/ your stomach; a mint, unfired example in C9 window box, fun stuff. It sold for $303.60.

And finally---the immortal I WANT A BOYFRIEND FOR CHRISTMAS--MICKEY CARTER--1950! THE SINGING COED!  Again, click on the photos and links.
