MORE FABULOUS VINTAGE WEBSITES, FINDS, ETC. FROM EVERYTHING CROTON

As always, some wonderful new finds, oldies but goodies, special requests and more. Click n the photos and links.

First up, those of us who make our own models, train layouts and/or putz houses are always looking to add that touch of authenticity--a'la billboards and other ads. And so when we spotted this photo again (no known copyright restrictions), circa 1929, courtesy of the National Library of Scotland, we just had to share----perhaps there's some inspiration in there for you and your next project. It's been hi-defd to bring out as many details as possible from the small image available.

That's followed by a fab vintage Green Hornet costume, 1966...and from 1916, Christmas Pudding at the Front. It's all capped off with an amazing "House of the Month" from Peter Oehmen---a gorgeous made in Japan vintage putz that you can see more of here.  Again, click on the photos and links..

Getting back to making your own billboards for your putz villages or model rail layouts...courtesy of Paul Race and Howard Lamey...click here.

  1. That Green Hornet costume is amazing! You hardly ever see vintage Halloween costumes in the wild anymore! (Rob)
