MORE FABULOUS VINTAGE WEBSITES, FINDS, ETC. FROM EVERYTHING CROTON

As always, some wonderful links, photos and finds.

First up, more pages from the Johnson Smith Novelty Company! These are from the  1930 edition of Popular Mechanics-- We especially enjoyed the "midget bible", serpent's eggs and exploding cigarettes. The pages are followed by a great vintage postcard of Cary Grant, who is featured in the latest edition of European Film Star Postcards here.

And finally an oldie but goodie--the little glitter house version of a 1950's House from Howard Lamey; see more here

As always, click on the photos and links.

An oldie but goodie--an outstanding piece of tin litho: T.Cohn was one of Marx's chief competitor's in the playset market and when it came to tin-litho pieces, their artwork was every bit as good as Marx. While both companies offered little green Army men, large service stations, and Old West forts Marx never really did come out with a Navy Base....T. Cohn did.... http://www.toyconnect.blogspot.com/2013/06/t-cohn-naval-base-warehouse-no-8.html

  1. When I was a kid, anything with the words "x-ray vision" always got my attention. Of course I was always disappointed.
