MORE FABULOUS VINTAGE WEBSITES, FINDS, ETC. FROM EVERYTHING CROTON

As always, some wonderful finds, special requests, oldies but goodies, and much more.

Click on the photos and links.

Hi Chrissy---Thanks to the vintage ad to the right for Anchor Hocking a.k.a. Anchorglass, this is the name of the  glass pattern and the year it was produced: 1954! How fortunate you are to have inherited a complete set for 12!  The pattern will look fantastic on your Christmas table this year.

Next up, by special request, an oldie but goodie--a fab 1946 ad for your very own Frank Sinatra bracelet...That's followed by a special request for a certain "pagoda house"--and one of the best we have ever seen is modeled after an oldie but goodie and comes from JCASS.  And finally a vintage Dennison gift wrap display from the National Christmas Center, soon to re-open in another Pennsylvania location.  Your editor hopes to replicate this Dennison display in 2019! Again, click on the photos and enjoy.

P.S. Seeking vintage wrapping paper--and if you can spare a 12 X12 section, you know where to send it!  Will reimburse postage and then some.

p.p.s. You can find the pattern for the JCASS pagoda house at https://bit.ly/2W40CpX

Moving along....An oldie but goodie worth revisiting and so much putzing inspiration for our reader thinking about crafting her own "vintage-inspired" circus---the  Marx Super Circus...A while back, Toys & Stuff started a new mini-series based on one of the best playsets ever produced by Marx - Super Circus.  Based on a popular television show of the 1950s this playset was BIG. It had action, it had gorgeous tin-litho pieces, and it had charm aplenty. Part 1 of the series, Aug 20, 2012 (Super Circus Pt 1), featured photos of the Big Top Tent.

Then in August 2012--more (Super Circus Pt 2)  Click on the link to see additional stuff!  Simply fantastic: http://bit.ly/1RGt7Wu

  1. I have eight of those glass dessert plates. They always come out for Christmas desert but I never knew they were that old. Thanks for the info.
