Welcome
to Everything Croton, a collection of all things Croton--our history,
our homes, our issues, our businesses, our schools--in short, EVERYTHING
CROTON.
RUN ON HUDSON VALLEY is closing. The lease is up next month and everything in the store is marked down 40%.
We wish the principals well in their future endeavors.

Although I could have gotten some things cheaper online, we never minded paying a little extra for great personal service and the need to never return anything by mail. They'll be missed.
ReplyDeleteI've always thought that this would be a great location for a wine bar.
ReplyDeleteThe village has had four wine bars. The operative word here is "had". In fact, one was located just a few feet down from this location in what is now Eatalia.
DeleteA wine bar! Like Tagine Restaurant and Wine Bar? Like Flavor Caribbean Food and Rum Bar? Like Kiko's Mexican Cuisine & Wine Bar? The people moving here are so financially leveraged they worry about the price of milk on the community page. For all those people who think that that yet another wine bar will make it here, by all means, please open up your wallet and do it.
DeleteThis was a great store. The service was fantastic. It will be missed
ReplyDeleteDrew and Ben were great guys, but like million dollar bike lanes, running is seasonal in this part of the country.
ReplyDeleteGood Gawd, another wine bar. How about Tapas? Wait a minute. La Sala Tapas and Wine Bar. Where Ragah is now. Oh please please invest in a tapas and wine bar.
ReplyDeleteEatalia HAS A WINE BAR! What about parking? It's a disaster over there. And besides, we're losing a great store. Nice guys. Helped my mom find shoes that really helped with her arch problem. Sorry to see them go!
ReplyDeleteSorry to see them go. We have plenty of eateries here and we don't need any more wine or liquor places. They were a great place to get things for my nephew who was into the whole running healthy thing. Eatalia is also a great place that had the good sense to rent the kind of parking that these kinds of places need.
ReplyDeleteMaybe the people who come to this new wine bar can park over on Young Ave.
