MORE FABULOUS VINTAGE WEBSITES, FINDS, ETC. FROM EVERYTHING CROTON

Some wonderful finds! As always, click on the photos and links.

First up....We've seen a lot of Philip Morris ads over the years featuring Johnny Roventini (also known as John Louis Roventini and popularly as Johnny Philip Morris), but here's one you seldom see---the famous bellhop  as Santa (from Liberty Magazine, 1937).

It's followed by one our favorite vintage-inspired candy box houses by Karl Fey--the house lifts off to reveal an inner box for candy--and an enhanced pattern for the top of a vintage Christmas icicle box--with opening for a possible diorama.  Also included are the "Selfie" Chocolate Bunnies that have again made an appearance at our local SHOPRITE. It was bound to happen sooner or later--and these just fly off the shelves.

An oldie but goodie...A marvelous restoration of an old putz house that had formerly been in PapaTed's collection

TRAIN TIME AT TOY CONNECT: TRAIN TIME: A Yank Does Hornby Pt 4 - Hornby No. 42200 Passenger Brake Van - After buying the Hornby clockwork engine, I acquired two passenger cars and this No. 42200 Brake Van. One of the learning curves faced when venturing into a new realm of collecting is the terminology. Trains and the train system in the UK as a whole has its own vernacular different from ours. Sometimes it's a different name for the something that serves the same function as on our railroads. MORE HERE
