An important letter from Joel Gingold and The Gazette, via the Croton United website/fb page:

Editors Note: This letter was written before the Board released its cost estimate (see spreadsheet below). The $752,000 estimate will consume the remainder of the trust fund and does not include funds for renovation of the house or for upgraded water and sewerage, if that proves to be necessary. Renovation of the house will certainly be well up in six figures. Where does the board propose to get those funds?

Seriously turn it into low income affordable housing. Get rid of that nasty old income equality by placing the housing near bus transportation, a supermarket within walking distance, and other amenities. The housing would also be near not one two parks. It fits all the criteria. I bet some developer would be happy to put up the money or apply for grants. Then we could keep the endowment, or whatever is left of it.
