To the Editor,

Thank you to the extremely generous parishioners of Holy Name of Mary Church in Croton On Hudson for the donations they made this past October, the Catholic Church’s Respect for Life month. During this month each year HNM Church collects donations for special charities that help people and families locally and all over the world.

On Wednesday, February 12th The Church’s Respect For Life Society delivered donations of $2,280 each to St. Christopher’s Inn in Garrison, and to Birth Right in Peekskill.

Fr. Dennis at St. Christopher’s Inn was so happy to receive our generous donation and gave us a tour of the Inn, explaining the important work they do helping men recover from drug and alcohol addictions.

The Staff at Birthright were equally grateful. We could see upon visiting their offices how busy they were helping expectant mothers as well as new mothers and their babies. We enjoyed seeing the massive collage of pictures on the wall, showing some of the babies and families they have supplied with food, clothing, diapers, and other essentials.
