We've
admired the old German and French chocolate molds for years--especially
during Valentine's Day and the Easter season....not that we're about to
make chocolate from scratch any time soon. Still, who could resist this
Anton Reiche circa 1900's Valentine clown mold found for a song a few
years back....
He's
followed by a great 1960's ad for Grape Kool-aid--and a fab 1952
magazine clipping of John Wayne and his children on the set of THE QUIET
MAN, one of our favorite St. Patrick's Day films of all time....it's scheduled to be on TCM -- Turner Classic Movies - at 8pm on 3/17 of course.
(P.S.
For the "cancel culture crowd", don't even bother to comment--it will never see
the light of day.) FOR MORE ABOUT THE QUIET MAN, CHECK IT OUT ON YOUTUBE.COM

We watch The Quiet Man at our St. Patrick's dinner every year. By the way if you are having company, the Martha Stewart web-site has some great entertaining and decorating ideas.
