FOR THOSE WHO HAVE ASKED WHY THERE IS A UTILITY TRUCK STAGING AREA AT THE DUCK POND PARKING LOT ON BUNGALOW ROAD

Welcome to Everything Croton, a collection of all things Croton--our history, our homes, our issues, our businesses, our schools, our houses of worship--in short, EVERYTHING CROTON.

FOR THOSE WHO HAVE ASKED WHY THERE IS A UTILITY TRUCK STAGING AREA AT THE DUCK POND PARKING LOT ON BUNGALOW ROAD....THIS APPEARS TO BE IN RESPONSE TO AN EVENT DETAILED ON THE CROTON FIRE DEPT. FB PAGE:

At 8:45 Sunday morning, we were dispatched to a home on Ridge Road for electrical fixtures arcing due to a fallen tree on Bungalow Road. Units found a large tree fell just east of Duck Pond Playground, striking a home and taking down a utility pole and wires. Members checked six homes that had minor damages from wires being ripped from them in addition to the home which sustained structural damage from the fallen tree.  On scene were E118, E119, E120, TL44, T10, U14 & 2082 (Command). Members operated for 90 minutes before turning the scene over to Con Ed Electric & Gas and the Village of Croton.  You can see just two of the many F.D.'S FACEBOOK PHOTOS AT https://www.facebook.com/CrotonFire/photos/pcb.1889325417881673/1889325217881693/ AND https://www.facebook.com/CrotonFire/photos/pcb.1889325417881673/1889325224548359
