First up--and because we can never get enough department store Christmas themed windows, we bring you Kaufmann’s Christmas window (PITTSBURGH, PA) “Toyland” theme, c. 1926-1928.
The horse and rider in the middle closely resemble the popular 1920s cartoon characters Barney Google and his horse, Spark Plug. CLICK ON THE PHOTO COURTESY OF THE HEINZ HISTORY BLOG--SEE MORE WINDOWS AT THE LINK--may take a moment or two to download--but it's worth it: http://bit.ly/2nRIbHw
Next up and being created today, an outstanding "Polish Pottery Putz". Gorgeous colors and glazing. The forms are very inspirational. And finally an oldie but goodie, from 2008, Linda's Loggie Putz, featuring houses by Karl Fey. Again, click on the photos and enjoy!
Check out these wonderful Christmas chocolate tins---available today--or at least in 2012—British, House of Dorchester; more here

Does that pottery come in any other colors? The blue is dominating.
ReplyDeleteTo my knowledge no, but I'll ask the Polish Pottery collector, Lady J! Blue seems to be the signature color.
