MORE FABULOUS VINTAGE WEBSITES, FINDS, ETC. FROM EVERYTHING CROTON

Some wonderful finds....as always, click on the photos and links...

First up--and because we can never get enough department store Christmas themed windows, we bring you Kaufmann’s Christmas window (PITTSBURGH, PA) “Toyland” theme, c. 1926-1928.

The horse and rider in the middle closely resemble the popular 1920s cartoon characters Barney Google and his horse, Spark Plug. CLICK ON THE PHOTO COURTESY OF THE HEINZ HISTORY BLOG--SEE MORE WINDOWS AT THE LINK--may take a moment or two to download--but it's worth it: http://bit.ly/2nRIbHw

Next up and being created today, an outstanding "Polish Pottery Putz".  Gorgeous colors and glazing.  The forms are very inspirational. And finally an oldie but goodie, from 2008, Linda's Loggie Putz, featuring houses by Karl Fey.  Again, click on the photos and enjoy!

Check out these wonderful Christmas chocolate tins---available today--or at least in 2012—British, House of Dorchester; more here

If you want to see some very interesting putz, and vintage Christmas too, you should check out the CANADIAN EBAY – go to http://www.ebay.ca/ and type in putz—and check it out—of course, some of these prices, in Canadian dollars or not, are a little too rich—but you will sometimes see things not often found on the US Ebay. It varies from day to day of course but wow...

UPCOMING AUCTION AT MORPHY'S--Cast iron, figural--there's some interesting stuff for the train folks; https://www.morphyauctions.com/

  1. Does that pottery come in any other colors? The blue is dominating.

    1. To my knowledge no, but I'll ask the Polish Pottery collector, Lady J! Blue seems to be the signature color.
