SERVICE INFO AND OBITUARY FOR JOHN MARK, III

Please note: Although an Ossining resident, Mr. Mark was well known in assorted Croton circles:

John Mark, III, of Ossining, NY, passed away suddenly on December 12, 2021, at his residence. John was born in Staten Island on January 31, 1950, and was the son of the late John and Arthine (Roesler) Mark, Jr. He was 71. 

John was a parishioner at St. Augustine’s Church in Ossining and a member of the Knights of Columbus. 

John began his firefighting career on December 17, 1977, at Engine 280 in Brooklyn and then at Ladder 56 in the Bronx. He then retired as a Firefighter and from Ladder 52 in Riverdale. 

John is survived by his wife, Mary; his son John IV; his daughter Erin Elyse Mark. 

Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, from 3:00 – 7:00 pm at Dorsey Funeral Home. The Funeral Mass will be held on Monday at 10:00 am at St. Augustine’s Church, 381 N. Highland Ave., Ossining, NY. The interment will follow at St. Augustine’s Cemetery with full honors by the FDNY.
