Well it was bound to happen sooner or later: after reviewing several postings on vintage candy containers here at the blog, reader Paulette was officially bitten by the vintage/antique candy container collector bug. She'll be on the hunt and sending us photos soon. It can however be an expensive hobby--read more about that here.when she scores. From what we see, however, it can be an expensive hobby. click here.
Which brings us to our first air of photos--this container isn't vintage but we love it just the same: to the right, a new tin candy container, musical too, from "Dylan's Candy Bar".
It's followed by a fab his 1966 Bacardi ad for rum eggnog--we love the little elves--or are they dwarfs--whatever, they're cute! p.s. to Brian---don't you have these elves?
And finally courtesy of Mark Podmore and sliced and diced so you can appreciate all that 1971 Christmas goodness, two pages the 1971 Helen Gallagher catalog.

One of our favorite craftspeople: Diane Mars ever---excels in scraps and chenille bump creations---see more at her flickr stream http://www.flickr.com/photos/23098096@N02/with/10539433736/
And again speaking of candy containers, a house shaped box from See's Candies, 1995, courtesy of TOYCONNECT here.
And unknown maker, a Flintstone "Flintmobile" candy container! Click here.
The sweet simplicity of this newly made putz house is enhanced by the roof lines and icicles--love it! SEE IT AT TREASURED HERILOOMS FLICKR STREAM HERE.
An outstanding collection of 1950's styrene Santas; AND SOME WE'VE NEVER SEEN BEFORE--THANKS BILL AND KATHY--SEE MORE HERE
Really wishthose Hollyberry cup and plate snack sets were not so expensive. Everytime they come to "fleabay" I am overwhelmed by the prices. Hope springs eternal that I will find one at a garage sale or a flea market that doesn't force me to eat tuna for a month!
