As always, some wonderful new finds, special requests, oldies but goodies and more. Click on the photos and links.
First up, a fabulous item from a past auction at SERIOUSTOY---the “Chippenfield’s Circus Models Gift Set” #23–A2, 1966, Corgi; missing 1 giraffe but was otherwise complete....this set is downright "putzable".
That's followed by another of Howard Lamey's 2021 Little Glitterhouse projects. FOR SOME REASON, a randomly occurring blogging glitch perhaps, YOU MAY NEED TO CLICK ON HOWARD'S IMAGE DIRECTLY TO SEE IT ENLARGED.
It's followed by another oldie but goodie from SeriousToyz -- an amazing tin friction "All State Express” Bus from the 1950's, made by “TM” (Modern Toys) Japan--Better still, all 4 rubber “lights” intact--and with the box! Amazing graphics on both the box an the bus!
Next a close-up of some putz houses at the National Christmas Museum---closed--but expected to re-open this year in another location...stay tuned. Oh to go back in time to the five and dime stores we remember.
FOR THE READER LOOKING FOR TRAIN WHISTLES FOR HER SON'S TRAIN PARTY; HERE'S A 12 PACK AVAILABLE ON AMAZON; CAN'T VOUCH FOR THE quality but they look interesting--see them HERE.
To the reader who asked---you have what is known in the putz world, as a "vintage green spottie"--lol! Putz artisan Howard Lamey made a repro some years ago of your vintage green spottie clock house http://www.cardboardchristmas.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=1093
