At last, an email blast from the Village of Croton.
Croton Point Avenue Traffic, Pedestrian, and Bicycle Improvement Project Set to Begin
Construction Work Set to Begin Tomorrow, March 31st
This is an update on the Croton Point Avenue Traffic, Pedestrian, and Bicycle Improvement Project. The Village has been informed that this project is considered essential construction and may continue despite the governor’s order on non-essential construction. This project is scheduled to begin tomorrow, March 31st. It is expected to last approximately 8 months. Drivers should expect intermittent delays throughout this period. Starting tomorrow, the right lane and shoulder of eastbound Croton Point Avenue will be closed. As the project progresses, we will be giving updates through Code Red, emails, Facebook, and Twitter. Information on this project is available on the Projects/Initiatives section on the Village website.

I sent an email to Village Manager King asking her to reconsider. Forcing laborers to risk a potentially fatal virus is immoral. Construction can be delayed untill it is safe for the workers.
