NOTES FROM THE 2020 ST. AUGUSTINE ST. PATRICK'S CELEBRATION-- Last Saturday night at 6:20, the Parish’s St. Patrick’s Celebration began with the Westchester County Police Emerald Society’s Piper Band leading the way. What a memorable opening! followed by Aisling Dono singing both the American and Irish national anthems. Fr. Mc Sweeney said grace and Corned beef or Shepherd’s Pie Dinner was then served to 190 adults and Chicken Tenders to 80 children in attendance. Shortly after dinner, the audience was treated to traditional songs sung by Aisling Dono and Irish Sing a longs led by Fr. Mc Sweeney, Aisling Dono and Pat Grimes. The night progressed with family dancing music provided by DJ Mike Passiatore of “One on One Productions”. There were plenty of children’s activities for all our little leprechauns including the 4th Annual Celtic art coloring competition judged by Fr. Mc Sweeney and Sister Mary Elizabeth. The crowd was treated to delightful intricate Irish Step dancing by the Doherty Petri Irish Dancing School on the stage. The night’s merriment ended with the drawing of our 50/50 raffle and Sweepstakes.

  2. St. Augustine is one of the best churches around. It truly exemplifies the qualities of its patron saint. The school provides a top notch education that does not skimp on the higher principles. Residents who want their children to be more spiritually well rounded will not regret choosing St. Augustine over more secular pursuits.

    1. If you want your kids to go uber left, gender free, climate change crazy, you know where to send them. But if you want something more for your children, St. Augustine is the place to go. Christ not climate!
