VILLAGE HIRES SNOW REMOVAL CONTRACTOR AND THE BILLS YOU'LL GET IF THEY REMOVE "YOUR SNOW"

Welcome to Everything Croton, a collection of all things Croton--our history, our homes, our issues, our businesses, our schools--in short, EVERYTHING CROTON.

Village Contracts for Sidewalk Snow Removal - At the Village Board meeting on November 5th, the Trustees approved a contract with Errico Landscaping to clear sidewalks that remain snow covered past the 18-hour deadline. Village Code requires that all residents clear their sidewalks of snow and ice 18 hours after the cessation of  snowfall. The Village will be declaring an official end time to each storm. It will be posted on the Village website and social media. The Village urges all residents and property owners to take responsibility for their own sidewalks.

Any residents who have to have their sidewalks cleared by Errico Landscaping shall be billed for such services as follows:  $38/hour for snow shoveling, $46/hour for snow blowing AND $175/hour for using a skid steer

Any bills which remain unpaid shall be levied to the property owner’s village tax bill. Any questions should be directed to the Village Manager’s office at 914-271-4848.

  1. Here's my bill for the first time the snowplows re-cover my sidewalk with snow after I have cleared it: $46. For the second time, $92. For the third time, $500! Which will be DEDUCTED FROM MY TAX BILL.
