NY POST - TELL YOUR KIDS THE TRUTH: SANTA IS REAL

I ran into a neighbor and her daughter in our lobby recently. The daughter dashed for the stairs, while her mom and I waited for the elevator. I thought the girl was trying to beat her mother to their apartment. Following elevator etiquette, I gave the mom a little smile and a nod. She sighed, then suddenly confessed to me: “She just found out there’s no Santa.”

For a moment, I considered staring at her blankly and then gasping: “There’s no Santa?” Instead, I replied, “Oh, is she OK?”

“She’s furious at me for lying to her for 10 years.”
