A former Croton resident now living in Florida has many fond memories of the exterior life-sized nativity at Holy Name. By special request, some photos of this year's creche (minus the baby Jesus until Christmas Day as is traditional). Click on the photos and enjoy.
p.s. The original baby Jesus was taken and never recovered some years ago; you may also enjoy--from 2015, A CROTON ON HUDSON EPIPHANY TALE; click here.

My name is Jan Costa-Myers and I want to thank you for the photos. We moved to Florida some time ago and my mom now attends mass in Buchanan so there was little chance we'd get to see them again. I remember that these pieces were purchased by individual members of the parish. Thank you again.
ReplyDeleteYes, I believe you are correct. I recall the late Richard Fuerst saying something to that effect.
