MORE CROTON NEWCOMERS CLUB, WELCOME WAGON, JAN. 1974, THE WIEGGEL SCRAPBOOK

Welcome to Everything Croton, a collection of all things Croton--our history, our homes, our issues, our businesses, our schools, our houses of worship--in short, EVERYTHING CROTON.

We love coming across old scrapbooks in the archives maintained by the volunteers of The Croton Historical Society. Here's some scans, with more to come, of a scrapbook compiled by Debbie Wieggel--these are from JANUARY 1974. Click on the images below. Asbury Methodist Church and Our Saviour Lutheran Church figure prominently in this set.

  1. Margaret Zuban was Croton's Welcome Wagon lady when we moved to Croton in 1966. She lived 2 doors away and was a real lady in every respect.
She moved with her 2 children to Virginia where her husband passed away. She remarried Jerry Hicks and lives in Florida near her daughter's family. Her son, George, lives in Richmond, VA.
