SUMMER REFLECTIONS AT THE DUCK POND, AUGUST 2013

As we marvel at how incredible the Duck Pond continues to look for yet another summer, (remember when a former official was ready to let it "green up" and die?) we are reminded once again what is possible when citizens step up to the plate - once more, a round of applause for the volunteers of the Duck Pond Committee.     It's never looked better. There are turtles, birds, bats and more importantly, no smell!

    Like overpaid consultants, officials sometimes think they know it all too. Every time I sit there I am reminded how lucky we are when citizens just say enough is enough.
