A reader asks: I have an old and still working beautifully, Singer sewing machine I no longer use and would like to do donate it. Are the Methodists still collecting these?

Response: Asbury used to collect sewing machines (and bicycles) under an initiative known as PEDALS FOR PROGRESS. To my knowledge, the last PEDALS FOR PROGRESS collection was in 2019 at Asbury and was coordinated by Croton Lay Interfaith (see EverythingCroton: PHOTO ALBUM & NEWS FROM THE 2019 PEDALS FOR PROGRESS BIKE & SEWING MACHINE COLLECTION)
