We were at a local Croton baby shower (she's expecting twin boys, a first for the family) and in between opening up gifts of handmade baby blankets, boxes of Pampers, and the cutest blue rompers, this latest madness from the New York Times made for quite a bit of amusing conversation.
"I don't understand any of it" our pregnant guest of honor said with a sigh, "I'm a Democrat"---to which her mother-in-law replied with a smile, "Yes but your husband's a Republican". The room burst into laughter---well, most of the room that is.
