Welcome to Everything Croton, (while the New One is down) a collection of all things Croton--our history, our homes, our issues, our businesses, our schools, our houses of worship--in short, EVERYTHING CROTON.
A reader asked about a ceramic shop that closed shortly after her arrival in Croton--but couldn't remember the name----it could only be PICK PRODUCTS (click on the 1983 ad courtesy of THE CROTON HISTORICAL SOCIETY). It was owned by Paul and Mary (nee Villani) Picciano, one of the original founders of THE CONCORDIA BAND and a member of Chemical Engine Company. Your editor is the proud owner of a PICK PRODUCTS ceramic tree, late 70's, purchased at a tag sale. The lighted base, a separate piece, was broken per the seller long ago--and now uses an electric candle or battery lights depending on the need for an outlet or not. Sadly, your editor missed out on some "Oriental" Pick Products figurines at that tag sale. Click on the images below.
