As always, some wonderful finds, oldies but goodies, and special requests. Click on the photos and links.
First up, another fabulous cabinet card from Suzee Que's private collection, pre-WWI, most likely French.
She's followed by a wonderful vintage Mr. & Mrs. Snowman card--probably 1950's.
And
they're followed by one of the best time capsule toys ever made in our
opinion. The Remco Barracuda Atomic Sub from 1963. Your editor had a
cousin who wanted one of these in the worst way--alas it never found its
way under the tree--until two decades later. Spotted in a tag sale--and
with the very tattered box, it finally arrived one Christmas. Needless
to say there was joy in Mudville! And finally, this year's 2020 Christmas Mantle and Military Parade. Again, click on the photos.
Recently the subject of loggies a.k.a. log cabin putz houses came up.
The Japanese made some interesting ones--and putz artisans Karl Fey and Howard Lamey also dabble/dabbled as well. You can see a flickr gallery of loggies, new and old here:
