POST STORM, LEAF BLOWER BAN

Your editor has sent a note to the village manager and the board asking that the "temporary leaf blower ban" be lifted to aid in the post-storm clean-up.  If a response is received, it will be posted here.

RESPONSE FROM THE VILLAGE:
Update to Village's Leaf Blower Emergency Order--On April 7th, the Village Manager, at the direction of the Village Board of Trustees, issued an emergency order to ban the use of leaf blowers of any kind within the boundaries of the Village.  Due to yesterday's storm, the emergency order has been updated to allow the use of leaf blowers between the hours of 11 AM and 6 PM beginning today, April 14, 2020, through Sunday, April 19, 2020. Thank you for your cooperation and be safe.

  1. If this stays in place, I would suggest that the town allows for leaf blowers during certain limited hours (eg. only between 1-4 PM and no saturdays and sundays).
