REMEMBERING RUTH HANDLER

Who died this date in 2002...Ruth Marianna Handler (née Mosko), an American businesswoman and inventor. She served as the president of the toy manufacturer Mattel Inc., and is best remembered for inventing the Barbie doll, although the doll's design was created by missile engineer-turned-toy designer Jack Ryan.   1. My sister loves these. It's an easy Christmas gift every year. The Holiday Barbie. I'll pass along this post. She is crazy about the "bubble" hairdo Barbie dolls.
