First up, by special request, a vintage cardboard wind-up made in Japan chimney with Santa pop-up; definitely some crafting inspiration here if we can mimic the graphics on the lower part. (We've already got the basic brick pattern from BIGINDOORTRAINS - CLICK here. A great example of vintage Japanese Christmas kitsch.
Santa is followed by some Mary Pickford World War One ephemera from 1917. She's shown gathering toys for orphans in France.
Speaking of toys, here's what a LOT of girls wanted for Christmas in 1954--check out the ad for "the most magnificent doll ever made: the "life-size" Sweet Sue by American Character"
And finally, this year's 2019 Autumn Kitchen Putz Village, a visit to the farm, assorted vintage pieces, barns by Howard Lamey, birdhouses by your editor. Again, click on the photos and enjoy.
For those who don't remember: Firestone made annual Christmas albums--check out Firestone's Christmas Album Volume 3 circa 1960’s, with one of our favorites, GORDON MACRAE. Of course, Youtube has some of it available for your listening pleasure: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ngn8LsVaUBs

FOR FANS OF Fred Waring and the Pennsylvanians: Fredrick Malcolm Waring (June 9, 1900 – July 29, 1984) was a popular musician, bandleader, and radio-television personality, sometimes referred to as "America's Singing Master" and "The Man Who Taught America How to Sing.”
He was also a promoter, financial backer and namesake of the Waring Blender, the first modern electric blender on the market; a 1957 Christmas album has been re-issued and is available on Amazon here.
