MORE FABULOUS VINTAGE WEBSITES, FINDS, ETC. FROM EVERYTHING CROTON

As always, some wonderful finds, oldies but goodies and special request. Click on the photos and links.

A friend theorizes that the reason why vintage play sets are often so popular with miniaturists and putz village enthusiasts--is that deep desire to create one's own little world. Perhaps.

We just know that we love the old play sets for whatever reason! ABOVE, from 1964, you too can have 132 Roman Soldiers and such for only $1.98, courtesy of friend Filephoto.

Delighted to share this 1939 ad for Gunga Din, starring Cary Grant, Victor McLaglen, and Douglas Fairbanks--and Sam Jaffe, an old fave.  In 1999, Gunga Din was deemed "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant" by the United States Library of Congress and selected for preservation in the National Film Registry.

It's followed by one of our favorite houses from Howard Lamey of littleglitterhouses.com: The Barn and Peak Roof. Again, click on the photos and links.

An interesting blog and a page full of Halloween putz—keep scrolling down the page once you get there---some of these are quite clever. http://bit.ly/1AutEzn

AND HER VINTAGE CHRISTMAS PUTZ VILLAGE IS VERY SWEET TOO; CLICK HERE

There's an etsy shop called RETIREDLETSDOLUNCH that has large unfinished chipboard putz houses for sale;  I encourage you to take a look.

In case you missed it, a fab old made in Japan Cardboard Castle, with a Karl Fey interpretation as well; click here
