First up, an oldie but goodie, a great vintage clock by Ingraham offered in a previous auction at Croton's own Serioustoyz.com - the 1951 “Roy Rogers Animated Alarm Clock”, Roy & Trigger rock as the clock ticks. We just think this is so cool. It's followed by a great 1919 ad for the animated Mutt & Jeff cartoon Pets and Pests--from the day when cartoons were new and exciting. And that's followed by a request for a repeat---a beautiful piece of tinplate--ROY ROGER'S MINERAL CITY, circa 1952.
And finally a fun ad from 1959's OPERATION PETTICOAT starring Cary Grant and Tony Curtis--a World War II submarine comedy film directed by Blake Edwards
The film was the basis for a TV series in 1977 starring John Astin in Grant's role. Again, click on the photos.
