ON THIS DAY IN TELEVISION HISTORY -1983-02-28: The final TV episode of "M*A*S*H" aired on CBS. A record 125 million watched in the United States. Click on the photo to see an early (1973) TV Guide cover of the cast.
The show ran from 1972 to 1983. It was developed by Larry Gelbart, adapted from the 1970 feature film M*A*S*H, which, in turn, was based on Richard Hooker's 1968 novel MASH: A Novel About Three Army Doctors. For more about the show, click here.
Never really liked the show and hardly ever watched it due to the revisionist history. Though I did enjoy a few of the original episodes with Radar and Klinger, at least for a little while.
