BEAR SPOTTED IN AREA

Now let's not panic folks. Just be aware.

Dear Croton-Harmon Students, Parents, and Community, The Croton Police Department has notified us that a bear was spotted in the area around 199 Cleveland Drive at approximately 1:25 p.m.today.  The Police have driven through the area and have not spotted the animal.  At this point we will be dismissing as usual; however, if you prefer to pick up your child from school, please contact the Welcome Center or Main Office as soon as possible.

The Croton-on-Hudson Police Department has received two calls this afternoon regarding bear sightings in the village. The first was at approximately 1:25 p.m. in the area of Cleveland Drive; a second sighting occurred around 2 p.m. on Mountain Trail. If you have a bear sighting in your neighborhood, please contact the police department non-emergency line immediately at 914-271-5177. In case of an emergency, always dial 911.
