It is with gratitude and delight that we announce that this year’s festival realized over $120,064. Many people came out to support this year’s festival; and our sincere thanks go again to all of the volunteers, parishioners, friends and the Festival Committee who helped to make this another remarkable and profitable fundraiser. It has been difficult to get new volunteers to help ease the workload of the people that do far too much already. In order to keep this event successful, more help is definitely needed!!! If you have not volunteered in the past, please consider joining us before, during, and/or after the festival next year to ease the workload!!

MIRANDA DEVINE--DEADLY MINNESOTA SCHOOL SHOOTING REFLECTS TRAGIC COST OF A DISORDERED SOCIETY--INCLUDING DEM LEADERS WHO LOST THE PLOT

If ever there were an example of the perils of the Democrat approach to crime and social disorder, it is Minneapolis, ground zero of the George Floyd/defund-the-police movement that roiled the country five years ago, and a “sanctuary transgender state.”

The deadly mass shooting of small children at Mass at Annunciation Catholic School Wednesday brings home the tragic cost of a disordered society, where evil rampages unchecked and those who would protect the vulnerable are handcuffed and pushed away.

It’s too early to say exactly how, or even if, the tragedy could have been prevented. Yet Minnesota Democrats already have reached for their lazy gun-control mantra, in a state that has among the strictest gun laws in the country.

Of course, they remain silent about the anti-Christian radical gender ideology that appears to have driven the latest spate of school shootings, from the murders at the Covenant School in Nashville, Tenn., in November 2023, and at the Abundant Life Christian School in Madison, Wis., in December 2024, to Wednesday’s rampage.

At least we now have an FBI that tells the truth about the motivating hatreds so that we can try to understand the pathology and stop its spread.

Unclaimed Funds Workshop--Date: September 4, 2025, 10:00 am - 12:00 pm at the Community Room, Croton Municipal Building, 1 Van Wyck Street--The New York State Comptroller's Office of Unclaimed Funds is holding a workshop. This workshop aims to educate the public about unclaimed funds and how to search for and claim money that may be rightfully theirs. New York State holds billions of dollars in unclaimed funds, and the Comptroller's office is actively working to return this money to its owners.

REMEMBERING CHARLIE O'CONNOR WHO DIED THIS DATE IN 2014: A MESSAGE FROM THE CROTON FIRE DEPARTMENT - It's with a heavy heart that the Croton-on-Hudson Fire Department announces the passing of Life Member Charlie O'Connor. "Charlie O" has been a part of Croton Fire Patrol No. 1 for over 20 years, being a Top Responder in that Company for most of that time. We extend our deepest thoughts and prayers to his wife and family.
