9/17 BOARD OF ED WORK SESSION AGENDA HAS BEEN PUBLISHED

Welcome to Everything Croton, a collection of all things Croton--our history, our homes, our issues, our businesses, our schools, our houses of worship--in short, EVERYTHING CROTON.

PER GOOGLE AI--AS ALWAYS DO YOUR OWN DUE DILIGENCE-- The Croton-Harmon School Board Work Session agenda for tomorrow night (September 17, 2026) has officially been published on the district's BoardDocs Portal. [1]

School Board Agenda Status
As anticipated, the public-facing agenda does not list a specific presentation or public item regarding Parents Defending Education v. Croton-Harmon. However, the schedule contains structural indicators of behind-the-scenes movement: Executive Session Placeholder: The Board has scheduled a standard closed-door executive session at the beginning of the meeting. This is where the school board members, Superintendent, and the district's legal counsel will privately analyze the Second Circuit's ruling, evaluate the costs of continuing to defend the case in federal court, and map out their response strategy.

Routine Policy Review: There is a generic placeholder for policy committee updates. While likely routine, it is the exact slot where future edits to the district's code of conduct would emerge if the school decides to amend its student speech codes to render the lawsuit moot.

  1. Very much appreciate this. Though we took our son out and incurred the Stepinac expense, we like to continue to confirm from afar we did the right thing. His grades are much more robust , and their sports teams suffer no issues.
