Have received many questions about the Defending Education lawsuit decision and more--
Some of these can be answered by accessing the public record---News 12 's take is here--while others can be addressed in the legal docs, the commentary of the Defending Education attorney, etc; you'll find all that in the blog coverage here and here and for those on Facebook, a deep dive into the Defending Education facebook page is probably your best bet.
For those not on FB, here is the website What is Parents Defending Education (PDE)?
Sometimes the assorted private parents forums can also be helpful.
As to other questions:
---No, to our knowledge the district has not released a statement, at least as of this morning
---Upcoming meeting/agenda questions: The Croton-Harmon Board of Education generally schedules its regular business meetings on the first Thursday of each month and its work sessions on the third Thursday.
The next scheduled meeting is a Board Work Session on Thursday, September 17, 2026, followed by the next formal Regular Business Meeting on Thursday, October 1, 2026. Meetings are held in the Croton-Harmon High School Library, typically starting at 6:30 PM. You'll want to monitor the agendas for any discussion of this subject or possible policy changes but bear in mind, it's a legal situation and will probably only be discussed in executive session.
---As to what the policies are in other schools--Catholic or private---best to go to them directly.

Thanks, couldn't find the next meetings.
