So it has been recommended that those with an interest check out and/or do a search---on several REDDIT pages featuring this scene---Sound Quality (SQ) & Competitions---because from what we're reading--and we're not spending any more time on this though you may want to--the Hudson Valley region is a major hub for audiophile-level car audio through the HVR (Hudson Valley Regionals) Sound Quality Competition. Unlike basic "bass-heavy" shows, SQ competitions judge vehicles on sound staging, imaging, and tonal accuracy. They pop up periodically especially during the summer months. Rockland, Spring Valley, Haverstraw, Yonkers, the Bronx, and parts of Peekskill particularly are home to these meetups.
But we're hoping this is over for the time being...and we're back to relatively quiet nights and Sunday mornings.
