Regarding the PILOT; this is a PAYMENT IN LIEU OF TAXES...in order to encourage more or less this type of housing/Regan Development .... Regan is seeking a PILOT (Payment in Lieu of Taxes) in order to qualify for funding through the New York State Offices of Homes and Community Renewal. The terms of the 30-year PILOT agreement call for an annual payment of just $70,000 increasing by 3% annually per the agreement.

I don't understand how this even begins to cover the school costs. Is there a separate arrangement? Do the schools have any say in this pilot? Did they give an okay if they do?ReplyDelete
Good questions---and you should ask the board. I vaguely recall the school district having to sign off on a pilot for Symphony Knoll some years ago but you should really address your questions to both village and school officials.Delete
Was this pilot approved?ReplyDelete
