For those who want to escape the relentless drama of 2020 and visit a kinder, gentler world for a little while, I offer my Christmas village for 2020. There are no bad guys here, no heartless villains or mean and petty officials. (I won't allow them in.) Instead, you will find a sense of normalcy, where citizens get along and neighbors look out for one another. Where parents and those in authority set a good example for impressionable children. Where staying at home is a good thing, because being around loved ones is a good thing. Where cookies are baked and trees are decorated and homemade gifts are cherished. And, yes, where sometimes the eggnog has a little something added to it, just for weary grownups.
