MORE FABULOUS VINTAGE WEBSITES, FINDS, ETC. FROM EVERYTHING CROTON

As always, some wonderful finds, oldies but goodies and more. Click on the photos and links.

First up, two examples of "fringed" Christmas postcards, popular from the turn of the century to about 1910. (One set has been fashioned into a bookmark). Both courtesy of Mary Sophie. You don't see these too often with the fringe still intact. They're followed by a 1940's ad for Anchors Aweigh with Gene Kelly, Frank Sinatra, and more. And finally one of or favorite Santa Claus figures by Jim Shore.

A few years ago, we acquired one of those old-fashioned punch bowl sets from the 40’s—with dreams of vintage egg nog recipes dancing in our heads; we’re happy to report the punch bowl has been out more often than most sets are...
One of our favorite holiday recipes comes from Family Christmas online for Cappuccino Punch – it's! You can see the recipe here. (Individual cups were also “enhanced” with a shot of Kahlua—heaven!)
