Welcome to Everything Croton, a collection of all things Croton--our history, our homes, our issues, our businesses, our schools--in short, EVERYTHING CROTON.

Well it's been a long time since your editor promised to publish more from THE ASBURY METHODIST SOUVENIR AND COOKING MANUAL--but a recent spring cleaning turned up the xerox copy at last! Click on the images below...FOR PART 4. (TO SEE PARTS 1, 2 & 3, CLICK HERE.)

A little background: In December of 1894, the Ladies' Aid Society of Croton's Asbury Methodist Episcopal Church published a "Souvenir and Cooking Manual". It was reprinted by The Croton Historical Society in 1975 as part of the village's many Bicentennial of the American Revolution celebrations. CLICK ON THE PHOTOS BELOW FOR MORE SELECT--AND VERY RANDOM-- SCANS FROM THE BOOKLET---some recipes--and more ads from Peekskill, Ossining a.k.a. Sing Sing, Croton etc. Stay tuned for the rest.
