PHOTOS 5/21/16 (ALGONQUIN) AIM PIPELINE PROTEST

In Peekskill this morning, there was a peaceful resistance to Spectra's construction of the AIM (Algonquin) Pipeline.  The march began at Blue Mountain Reservation; participants in the well attended march were asked to wear red. On Friday, the Journal News reported that NY Sens. Schumer and Gillibrand want the pipeline shut down until independent health and safety reviews are done. 1. Good for these brave people - this pipeline is unneeded and brings high levels of risk.

  2. Good for these people protesting an unnecessary and extremely risky pipeline that will disrupt the lives of thousands of families through five states, and be right next to important cooling equipment at Indian Point nuclear plant.
