COURTESY OF LOHUD - Educator salaries in New York - CROTON HARMON, HEN HUD, ETC. - The database LINK below shows the
gross pay for roughly 250,000 educators at public schools in New York state
during the 2014-15 school year, as reported by the New York State Teachers
Retirement System. Their membership includes all full-time teachers, teaching
assistants, guidance counselors, and administrators for all public schools in
New York (excluding New York City), BOCES, and eligible charter schools.
Part-time teachers, and those employed by SUNY or community colleges can
participate in the retirement plan, but aren’t required to. Some individuals
may have worked for more than one district during the year, in which case a
separate entry will appear for each district. Salary data may not include all

Opening this link and reading this information is going to piss me off, I know it! Did you know that Ed Fuhrman our schools superintendent makes WAY more than the governor of NY, the Chief Supreme Court justice of the US, the President of the US. All that for overseeing three school and a total of 1500 kids...How do you like them apples?

And you wonder why your school taxes are so high. $223,000 for Mr. Fuhrman!
ReplyDeleteDisgusting !!
ReplyDeleteAm I missing something or he is only around the 70th highest paid educator in Westchester? 70th isn't so high up on the chart now, is it?
ReplyDeleteYes you are. That kind of compensation is ridiculous for three schools and a district this small.
DeleteSent my kids to Catholic school for a reason.
