ZAMBRANO TO LEAVE CROTON--CONFIRMED

Just received a phone call that there was a press conference in the Village of Ossining in which it was announced that Croton village manager Abe Zambrano is leaving Croton to take a position there. NOW CONFIRMED. He will start 5/27 and replaces Richard Leins as village manager.

It is unknown at this time who will replace Zambrano here in Croton.

  2. Thank you for keeping us so well informed. God forbid we'd learn about this from the Croton website. I can't wait to see what new adventures await us.

  6. Abe garnered national attention for Croton by sending out fake water bills. Now that Mayor Leo Weigman has taken to submitting falsified timesheets, Abe realized that the student had surpassed the teacher.

Abe's ability to maintain a poker face while listening to Weigelli's verbal dancing is the stuff of legend. Abe's successor has some big acting shoes to fill.

My vote is for Brian Pugh, although from Pugh's demeanor since taking office there is speculation that Pugh has been replaced by a Disney automaton. Can we get Andy Levitt to stick him with a pin and see if Pugh says "ouch"? The citizens deserve to know the truth!
