VINTAGE SUNDAY FINDS IN THE HUDSON VALLEY

A banner day at the Peekskill Attic Treasures Flea Market today:

--We watched "Captains Courageous" last week and were reminded what a great and versatile actor Spencer Tracy was when we found this framed magazine page at the market. The back was marked 1943.

--For all you Josef figurine fans, it was a real mad house at one table. An intense bidding war erupted between two collectors of Josef birthday girls. Click on the photo below. We didn't stick around because...

At the next table were 30 or 40 metal toy guns from the 40's, 50's and 60's. Yes most weren't in the best of condition but at a dollar a piece, our friend Tom took quite a few of the best. Click on the photo below.

The Peekskill flea market is a lot like love is--you have to kiss a lot of frogs...but if you're really patient, there's something to be had for collectors of all things vintage more often than not. On Main Street across from the clock and La Perla.
