A very strange and yet beautiful Christmas ad, complete with holly berries in the background, for Helmar Cigarettes circa 1920; we restored the text as it was fairly worn away.
Never mind that the packaging motif is Egyptian as opposed to Turkish!

Considering that the tobacco was probably grown in North Carolina, using Egyptian motifs on a so-called Turkish Cigarette package was probably the least of their issues. Oh, and the obviously western European model drawn with dark skin is TOTALLY convincing. Thanks for sharing this unique ad.
