To the right, one of our favorite photos of bandleader Glenn Miller circa 1942 (full name Alton Glenn Miller)...and a sad story indeed. While he was traveling to entertain U.S. troops in France during WWII, Miller's aircraft disappeared in bad weather over the English Channel.
