FROM THE MAILBOX

A reader is trying to recall a fundraiser event that had been organized to raise money for the then hunger-crisis in Darfur around 2006 or so. She is unsure if this was a Protestant or Catholic sponsored event. But wonders if there is anything on file anywhere.

Reponses: Holy Name periodically collected for Darfur food emergencies as I recall, but I am uncertain of the years or what if any other churches were involved. You might try contacting Holy Name directly for more info holynameofmary.org

Confidential to ANY OTHER CHOICES? No, sorry, the site in question only does Facebook and Instagram.  Most of us are on neither and could care less.

A reader asks: Are the Methodists still collecting bicycles?

Response: To my knowledge, the last PEDALS FOR PROGRESS collection was in 2019 at Asbury and was coordinated by Croton Lay Interfaith (see EverythingCroton: PHOTO ALBUM & NEWS FROM THE 2019 PEDALS FOR PROGRESS BIKE & SEWING MACHINE COLLECTION)

You can always check with Asbury; be aware---they have a new website hosting here

A reader is "Looking for the Covidhealth articles by that woman???????"

Response: Assume you mean Emily Kopp. She was with U.S. Right To Know - Pursuing truth and transparency for public health but is now with the great Matt Taibbi as Editor-in-Chief at Racket News About - Racket News - a big step up.  Check out both sites. Good sources of info.
