REMINDER--SHERIDAN GORMAN MEMORIAL--VIGIL TODAY--PLEASE ALLOCATE TRAVEL AND PARKING TIME ACCORDINGLY

A community vigil will be held in honor the life of Sheridan Gorman at 6 p.m. on Saturday at Jack DeVito Veterans Memorial Field in Yorktown Heights. Gorman, 18, of Yorktown, was shot and killed on March 19 in Chicago, where she a freshman at Loyola University. Jose Medina-Medina, a 25-year-old Venezuelan migrant, has been charged with first-degree murder in connection with Gorman’s death. The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) announced last weekend that U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) lodged an arrest detainer asking sanctuary politicians not to release the suspect, Jose Medina-Medina, whom it called “criminal illegal alien.” MORE AT Yorktown to hold vigil for Sheridan Gorman on Saturday - Mid Hudson News
